Anchoring role of Youth

Motivating Youth

The Republic day was celebrated in the College Campus on 26th Jan 2015. The Chairman Sri Gonal Virupaksha Gouda presided over the function. New GB members of the college Sri RP Santhosh, Sri Kalgudi Manjunath and former Jt Secretary of V.V. Sangha Sri J Nepakshappa were the Chief Guests.

The Chairman Sri Gonal Virupaksha Gouda, Sri RP Santhosh, Sri Kalgudi Manjunath and Sri J Nepakshappa and Principal Prof. SM Shashidhar spoke on this occasion.

Excerpts from Prof. SM Shashidhar speech: At present India has 60 crore youth under the age of 25. This will continuously be growing till the year 2040. India has the world's largest youth population despite having a smaller population than China. No Indian youth should be without either a world-class higher education or without world class skill sets. During college education, students must be exposed to business development opportunities and must be trained towards creation of new enterprises.
Young people are the innovators, Young people are the creators, Young people are the builders and Young people are the leaders of the future. They can transform the future only if they have skills, health, decision-making, and real choices in life. We have the potential to inject new dynamism into the flagging economy. Failure to do so, however, will result in demographic disaster.
